Genesis

Genesis. I had an internal debate with myself on what the title of my first ever post on this website should be, but I couldn’t get past Genesis. There’s perhaps no titular naming more fitting than the first book of the Bible.

Podcasting. Blogging. Content Creation. I’ve dabbled with it all. I’ve experimented with writing on Medium, creating short-form content on the likes of YouTube, Instagram, and Tiktok, and perhaps, most relevant to this, I’ve tried blogging before briefly on movies, before I eventually delved into writing sports articles on Medium.

The word “side hustle” gets thrown around a lot in today’s economy, but I personally view these endeavors as a way to find actualization and satisfaction in. So often, I find myself ruminating on thoughts and ideas with no real creative outlet. It’s what got me into all those things in the first place, but it never felt like something that was truly "mine”. I was a temporary visitor on a bustling platform in the past.

Reflecting on the nature of my past experiences, I figured the move was to get my own domain and start writing on my own website. Between the business of day-to-day life and the procrastination bug that visits me ever so often, I finally decided to turn this into reality. Obviously, it takes a degree of resources, along with time and effort to start this, so it took a minute to get everything sorted, but here it is.

There’s a chance that it’ll be weeks and months before another person ever comes across this, but to you in the future, if you ever come, thank you for your presence. I will write on the issues, topics, and events I believe are of significance to our society, which may, or may not be adequately covered anywhere else on the Internet. I’ll keep it short and wrap it up for this first-ever post of mine.
