Computer Monitors
How many monitors is enough for your setup? At work, at home, and wherever else you may have a computer setup, the all-important question I have for you is, how many monitors is enough? For years, I only used a single monitor, either on a laptop or a desktop with one external monitor. Since the era of work-from-home, I’ve upgraded to two monitors, and later on, three monitors. This may sound excessive for some of you steadfast single-monitor loyalists, but the push for more monitors is slowly becoming the norm for good reason.
I do have to say, I found the difference in my jump from one monitor to two monitors to be more significant in aiding my productivity and overall convenience. Personally, the difference between two monitors and three monitors was barely noticeable. Whether its having music open on the side monitor for your music needs, having your email open, or whatever app of your choice, having a second monitor certainly has its benefits.
For those of you out there who find it incredibly excessive, I understand you. Listen, I get it, there’s absolutely no room leftover on my desk with three monitors, and if you like having some variation of stationery on your desk, it’s entirely understandable why you would opt out of a multiple monitor setup. All I’m saying is, if you haven’t tried it, you’d be surprised by how much of a boost in productivity you can get from it, regardless of what field you work in or study in.
Signing off,
Henry
