Breakfast

I find there’s an eagerness and excitement associated with breakfast, which differs from the other meals of the day. If you are absolutely dreading going to work or school that day, I can understand those negative feelings being attributed to breakfast. Barring that, I stand by my pick of breakfast as the meal I look forward to most throughout the majority of my days.

I’ve thought about this before and it could be the smell of fresh coffee, or even, the smell of eggs, which, in any other scenario, I would not find pleasant. There’s also the potential that my love of breakfast is because of my usual subsequent exposure to sunlight, which my process of association, could be the real source of my upbeat mood. Nonetheless, whatever the case may be, I am a fan of breakfast.

A fresh brew of coffee at any other time does not feel quite the same as having it first thing in the morning. I find I eat lunch speedily, for time constraints if not anything else, and after lunch, the desire to nap is so unbelievably strong that coffee has no effect by then. I prefer eating my final meal of the day, dinner usually, if not for a few snacks here and there, several hours before sleeping. So in a sense, throughout my day, breakfast is the only meal I thoroughly enjoy without having to rush through it. This may be controversial to say, as for some commuters, breakfast is arguably the most rushed meal of the day. While I understand, I will stand by my love of breakfast.

Signing off,

Henry
